The Power of your Thoughts

Ever noticed how often your thoughts affect what you do, what you believe, how you perceive things, response and actions? This is one of the most underrated reasons that tells the difference between successful people and those that are struggling, the rich and the poor (hate to use that comparison). You can only go as far as your mind takes you, just like the “David kills Goliath” kind of story.
Your mind is everything you need to do better or solve a problem, or (even start trouble on a good day if you like). Most cases, I've witnessed people continuously complain about a situation that is stressing them out in their lives. You'd think they are gonna do something about it to make a difference. Surprisingly they don't, even when you suggest steps towards a solution. They are hellbent on being narrow minded, sticking to the basics of what and how they know and that's just it.
Well, let me ask you.

How are we supposed to be better,
When we are gullible like children?
We'd rather believe everything we see, and hear
than reading books to understand and make informed choices.
When we identify as Christians that believe in God’s word
“No weapon formed against Israel shall prosper”
but easily believe in witchcraft?
We say we love God,
but mistreat those around you?
How are we supposed to get better
when we spend more time in churches,
than we spend working towards our dreams?

How are we supposed to be a different generation,
when we are marrying for the money and convenience
rather than love?
And make our offspring encounter
the circumstances of our greedy choices.
When we put a price to everything?
Family, relationships
believing money is everything,
yet even the ones that have it say it is not.
How do we make a different generation,
when we can’t be held accountable
for the wrong decisions we make in life?
They drag us to poverty and death
but we still have the audacity to blame it on the devil, Satan.
When we are so oblivious?
So invested in the things that do not matter
Social media, fame, worldly possessions.
The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.”
